DESCRIPTION

We have completed the structural steelwork, metal decking, escape staircases and installation of Omnia decking for this building which will be occupied as the new UK and European headquarters for Honda.

The structure comprises three connected blocks with Blocks 1 and 3 providing the major office accommodation and Block 2 providing access, service and lift facilities

The ground floor is dedicated to car parking, thus transfer beams were adopted. The main transfer beams were approximately 15.6m long, fully fabricated at our works from 20mm and 50mm plate and weighed up to 10.5 tonnes each.

The first floor to the main blocks and quadrant between them consisted of 3,600m2 of Omnia composite flooring which we installed to aid coordination with other trades. The remaining floors were also composite construction for which we supplied and installed 7,700m2 of metal decking.

Weight: 908 Tonnes
Fabrication time: 5 Weeks prior to erection
Erection time: 10 Weeks
Contract Value: £1,360,000.00 approximately
